Being a Conductor or Stick with Calculator?

I gotta stick to the plans I have been working on for so long before jumping into any major new decisions or situations I need to get some advice from a neutral third party. However my motivation to improve my life situation is tremendous and I have got the energy to back it up. That energy is best applied to myself rather than others.
